We r planning to develop Sine wave inverter (spwm) .Pls suggest us about the micro-contrlr best suited for our application in MICROCHIP/ATMEL , with explanations ..

Why don't you make a little effort to educate yourself and make the decision for yourself. This Microchip Web site has a ton of information for you: **broken link removed**
