i have a basic doubt regarding the fT.

If we see the expression for fT, it is dependent on gm of the transistor.
But generally people say it is technology specific.
They say "for this technology this much is the gm".
Is it not contradicting??

Thanks.

Re: fT

yeah it is not contradicting , when they say the gm is for this technology is X , it is a measure , that's not mean the every transistor u use will have these Gm

about the Ft , it depend on the Cgs also which also depend on the L , in this case L will be the minimu length to get the max freq

khouly

Re: fT

sorry, there was a typing error in my query.

Usually it is said that fT is XX Ghz for .13 technology.
But fT is very much dependent on gm of the transistor.
Keeping the l min and increasing the w will increase the fT.
Even though gm/cgs(=wT) will not be a constant always.

So how it is reasonable to say fT is constant for a particular technoligy??

Thanks..
