While going through the .lib file, there are few doubts we encountered.

1.What is meant by "pulling resistance unit"?
2.What is meant by "connection_class:core_3p3v"?
3.What is meant by "timing_sense :positive_unate;"?
4.What do we call sequential cricuits here??
5.MODE0 and MODE1---->
These are inputs to the circuits. Is this right?

Any Help would be really appreciated.

Thank you,
Prashanth

1) Pulling resistance unit is basically voltage unit in the .lib which is v and current unit is mA which makes it kiloohm. It is a legacy definition with no real implication in the .libs anymore. It is derived because the PT tool uses voltages and current unit to calculate all the delays in the analysis. Just make sure it is Voltage_units/Current_units in the .libs. These have been volt and mA for a long time.

2) connection_class : core_3p3v the voltage to which is going to connected. I work with latest and greatest .libs and this option is no more used. It is taken over by UPF options.

3) postive_unate : it defines how the output is effected by the output. Like and gate is postive_unate while nand gate is negative unate and xor is non_unate

4) sequential circuits also have unateness attached to it per pin.

5) The question is not very clear. but each pin in the .lib is defined as input/output

Thank you Artmalik.

1.Extension of PT , UPF ?
2.Unate:-> it defines how the output is effected by the output.--> Not clearly understood

So, Whether we can define FF (positive edged or negative edged) as (Positive negative or non )Unate??

UPF stands for United power format. this defines the power connections and voltage rails for the design.

unateness is for input output relation. the negative/positive edge is defined with respect to clock polarity.
So, Whether we can define FF (positive edged or negative edged) as (Positive negative or non )Unate??
