Hi All,

I want to know the advantages of using Set-1 to clear in a register.
For Ex: If we have a status register, writing "1" to it clears the bit set.
What is the advantage in using this type of clearing ? Why dont we write "0" to clear the register?

Thanks in advance

i dont think this is really advatageous to use Set-1 to clear. it all depends on system. we can use either write-1 or write-0 to clear a status bit, i guess. correct me if i am wrong.
