Dose Analog IC Design & Layout have a good future?

Makeing a mix signal layout design isnot an easy job....
 

it's hard to find a job, but when you get it, it's a really good one :)

yeah..for me its not just polygon..when you come to the top cell,
it will be more challenging..


Layout designer is in need today..You can have a good future...
And also try circuit design if you want more more n more challenging work..

I think automatic layout generation with CADs is the future !

I don't think so. The layout of the analog circuit is hardly realized by the CAD. Sometimes you need speacial layout that can only realized by yourself.

Added after 3 minutes:

Actually EE is not a good major to make a lot of money. EE engineer is busy and tied.
 

I am a student too
I learn analog IC design hoping find a good job!!!
 

Auto analog layout will replace manual layout in the future in my opinion.

some standard library cells as in digital IC?
the place/route efficieny is a problem even for digital IC now
