hi all,

i need to find the dominant pole of trasfer function which is as follows:

tf = [as²+bs+c] / [ As3 + Bs² +Cs + D]

can i suppose the dominant pole is equal to D/C ?? if i can what is the expelication !

Regards;

it depends on relation between your parameters(A,B,..) would you please give more details. your tf has three poles and which one has the minimum value will be your domonant pole.

As an example consider three real poles (As+1)(Bs+1)(Cs+1), A being the dominant pole A >> B> C

Then calculate yourself.
