Looks like .5mm pitch board to board connector

No, sorry becouse if you are checking the via_I assume that its a typical Via with padwidth of 0.6mm_you will see, that the pitch of connector pads is relative exactly double of that: also ITS SURE a Connector (Samtec?) with 1.27mm pitch!

Impossible to say without dimensions. Post a picture with a ruler close to the connector.
