I'm wondering about the AGC used before decision feedback equlizer. How to set it's transfer function?

Thanks you for give me any advise![/quote]

What is the purpose of AGC in your system? Control the RF/analog circuit such as LNA, VGA or control the digital signal after ADC?

the purpose is to control the VGA. In backplane channel communication, VGA is used to compensate the channel attenuation before the decision feedback equalizer. So I want to kown something about the arithmetic of AGC.

Hi

AGC is a nonlinear system which maintains its output constant in its operation rage .

for more information on AGC ,its block diagram, mathematics and transfer function, read the following paper
