Guys,
Does anyone have experience with RS485 and AVR ?
Do I need RS232 for it ? or RS485 is replacing my RS232 ?

Any references or clues will be appreciated..
Thanks

You dont need RS232. You have to connect AVR pin to RS485 ic.

do you have schematic example for it ? I want to use 3.3V RS485

MAX485's operating voltage is 5V

Search there are lot of others which operate in 3.3V

I mean, I use 5V as supply but input it with 3.3V MCU....is that possible ? thanks
