yes , better to go for smd kind of crystal.... but are you asking the crystal for controller or is it with respect to any crystal.....

could you be more specific.....

Crystal for pic 16f84a, using in a infared pathfinder. The circuit vibrates because of the motors. Is it ok to use a Crystal?
