removal recovery time for a flip-flop

I have the flip'flop's Asynchronous SET/RESET coming from another clock domain.
It's single shot to reset the flip-flop.
Under this assumption , did u concern about
the violation of recovery and removal time ?

yes you need to bother about recovery and removal checks for async resets.
This checks are necessary for inactive state of reset to ensure unambiguous data was not captured by active clock edge.

Hi guys,

If I have few flops that got the assertion of reset earlier than other flops that got the assertion of reset later and the reset is hold for a few clock cycles, its not possible to meet the recovery (setup) check especially in SOC where the reset tree is very long. This means meeting 1clk is very difficult for large SOC design. With this, can we safely put multicycle -setup 2 and thats it? The important of async reset is the removal check. The -setup 2 will remove the setup violation (since the reset can be hold for several cycles before it is being released) and the removal will still be check ?
