lc osc

hello all
i am studying a quadrature phase LC oscillator and its center frequency is 2.7GHz. Min channel length i can use is 0.3um.
Do you think, i have to use 0.6-0.8um channel length for this project as we are used to have long channel transistors for OPAMPs etc.

thanks

i think for this required frequency you don't need to use long channel FETs and if you have searched about LC CMOS oscillators, you should have seen that mostly short channels are used.
Use short channel ones in other words at min channel length transistors in order to reduce the parasitic capacitances.
