Is it possible with "standard" components, without any Power Line module like x10?
 

Yes, of course it is possible. You may not get the same performance, you will definitely not be compatible with other systems, but you can build something that will work.

As an example (not the best example, but nevertheless, it's an example), take a look at this appnote from National. You can build something along those lines.

This is a good example, thanx for you, but is there any other example with digital data communication? Its not problem, it the data transfer speed is low!
 

Yes, I need this too for digital data communication, Speed above 9600 baud.

Maxim offers MAX2986 which is designed for high speed data transmission over power lines:
