Display Fault with my Yaesu FT757GX Tranceiver

Hi,

I have a Yaesu FT757GX HF Tranceiver and the display has failed on it!

Instead of reading say 28.110 MHZ the display reads ------- so therefore i cannot tell what frequency i am on.
The display is Fluorescent type.

I tried the reset button, but this makes no difference.

Occasionally i may get odd random numbers like 99911 which has nothing to do with the frequency that i would be on, but mostly it is just a series of dashes as above.

Would anyone know what could be causing this,

Hi Michael,

There is sure to be a Yaesu FT757 yahoo group and there would more
likely be some one there that could guide you towards a cure.
I find the yahoo groups for several of my various models of Yaesu radios
very useful
