Is discrete wavelet transform supported by H.264? If it is supported, is it only available for some profile, baseline, main, extended profile?

Yes DWT are supported by H.264
But I did this project a long time ago using CABAC entropy coding
I think it is for Baseline and Extended Profiles that you can use DWT.

Better follow this book
H.264 and MPEG-4 Video Compression (Richardson)
It is available in the forum.
