what would be the output, If we put a discrete signal as an input for a continuous time low pass filter ?!! I know its an odd question, but it came up to my mind and I'm not sure what would happen ?! would it function as a LPF or what ?!

discrete signal converts to continuous time signal
 

An exact analysis requires to place a hold circuit between time discrete and time continuous domain. If it's of order zero (creating
a rectangular waveform), it has a sin(x)/x frequency response.
