# Discharging battery using a load of 200mA

hi
i have battery ,(doesn't matter what kind) , that its capacity is 1100maH
i want to to discharge it to 75% from its capacity , using a LOAD of 200mA
i calculated it , i just don't know if i am right.

1.1AH / 0.2A = 5.5H
5.5H * 0.25 = 1.375 hours.

ya the calculation is right... you have to drain that battery for 1 hour 22 min and 30 seconds with a 200mA load to achieve that...

i just wasn't sure , how to use peukert exponent

anyway i will take value of 1.1 of peukert .......

Capacity=(I^k)t

For an ideal battery, the constant k would equal one, in this case the actual capacity would be independent of the current. For a lead-acid battery, the value of k is typically between 1.1 and 1.3 however. The Peukert constant varies according to the age of the battery generally increasing with age.
