Direct down conversion from Ku-Band to VHF band possible?

is it possible to have a direct down conversion from Ku-Band to VHF band?

If you dont have problems with unselected (not filtered in the "pre" IF) signals_yes. :)
The "cable TV-tuner" band was a practical compromise for commercially existing 100 millions of TV receivers too...

Your request is met in any satellite Ku-band LMB: it converts 11-12 GHz Ku-band into UHF, IF range is 0.95 to 2.15 GHz.

it's OK. You can use dielectric filter after the mixer.
 

The example below converts 10.3GHz to VHF (144MHz), and gives you an idea how to do it:
