hi all here: i have checked hfss based antenna desing for the centre frequency of 60 ghz, but with lower gain?
is it nice to use dipole for such frquency, than to use other like patch etc?
in addition to it, how can we change the dimension of the patch antenna given in HFSS tutorial .
Because the antenna production tolerances are pretty high compared to the wavelength at 60 GHz (mmwave), you'd prefer an antenna with broadband performance. Moreover you really want some antenna gain for having a decent link budget at those freqs. A Vivaldi antenna, as used by the people from the Wigwam project (**broken link removed**) fits both properties and can be etched on board.
radio head: have u designed/built any antenna using the band width 54-66 ghz, like vivaldi, using hfss etc, can u send it to me on amirs4@excite.com or post it on the forum.
