I have a long extension lead from a wall outlet to my tv in another room but the picture is pixelating.

I assume due to resistance in the extension cable reducing the signal.

So is it possible to boost the signal with a suitable amplifier, either at the wall outlet or at the tv?

Does anyone know of a suitable schematic I could try?

These perhaps?

Never mind about this post. The tv itself is no good.

Either your signal is so weak it is on the borderline of breaking up already or you are not using a good quality extension cable.
Regardless of the TV sensitivity, those designs will work but they are using long obsolete parts, you will get better results using a simple MMIC device for less cost these days.
