Digital oscilloscope - unknown Chinese brand name? Too good?

Hey everyone

I was looking for cheap digital scope and found this Chinese brand. It looks cool but it is durt cheap, may be too good to be true kind of agressive pricing so I was curious if anyone had any experience with it?

The manual is horrible, written in Chinglish and it’s hard to figure what’s what but the bottom line is:

Is this instrument any good or not?

Hmm the manufacturer's web site says they would. But anyway I was looking for someone who owned one of those and would be willing to provide some feedback.

If you want a cheap oscillasicope, you may take a look at Rigol.
It's a new brand, and I think its quality is ok. although I use Tektronix.

However Rigol DS1022C goes for nearly $500 while Owon scope is priced at $325. Both are 25MHz with no logic analyzer functions, etc - basically both are entry level instruments

Actually its not a bad machine. Got one and so far so good. The USB download feature is pretty good.

I would not buy a noname DSO because of unknow service support. I would buy HP or Tektronix for their good service support.

I am sure this holds true in Eastern Europe and beyond, but the post was really targeting the US fellas who may have dealt with Saelig in the past. I was curious if anyone would contribute some feedback about them?

Happy to report that the scope is great and best of all - it works great. Looks are some times NOT the best feature of this scope as it is kinda plasticy but I guess I am used to the old timer, metal CRT scopes.. LOL
