circuit design with vhdl

Hello all,

now I want to implement a digital circuit which must realize certain functions, but also not highly complicated function. Finally I want to integrate this digital circuit into the exsiting analog circuit in Cadence.

Therefore, I am wondering I'd better design the circuit using cadence or VHDL???

In Cadence I can place the logic gates in the graphical user interface to build a digital circuit.
But nowadays VHDL is widely used for digital design.

What are the general advantages and disadvantages of these two tools?

design digital circuits

In my opion,VHDL or verilog is suggested in order to aviod arranging so many standard cells.
