There are many RAM memory such as
SRAM, DRAM, SDRAM,....etc.
Q1> Any other common RAM momory we always use to develop on a hand-held prodcut?

Q2> What are their difference (Speed, price, or ECC??)?

Re: Design to use Memory

static and dynamic memory
--static is faster (no refresh required).
--static take more than dynamic for the same memory size.

for more details
search for static versus dynamic memory
