Hi,

What is the difference between Perfect E and PEC material in HFSS?

Does anybody know about this difference?

Thanks.

Regards,
Thiha

I suppose the only difference is that you can make a 3d object out of a PEC whereas you can define a Perfect E bc only on a 2d surface. I suppose it's a matter of convenience/preference.

yup,

when you want to make say infinite ground plane, u can define perfect E elsewhere PEC
