difference between matlab and c sharp in realtime DSP

what do you think is better in DSP and realtime signal interfaced with USB ??
i have Matlab and C sharp to choose between....
i need the advantages and disadvantages of each way..
the hardware is build by flow sensor and PIC18f4550.
thanx alot
