difference between IOS and BONDED IOS in vhdl synthesis?

what is the difference between IOS and BONDED IOS in vhdl synthesis.
thanks in advance
 

Bonded IOs are I/Os that have bond wires attaching them to pins on the device package. IOs would refer to all the IOs on the die, which may include unbonded pads on the die that are therefore inaccessible on the package.
