the most difference between them in air interface .
uwb use impulse training for communication but bluetooth use common method for communication .
another difference is bandwidth in use :
bluetooth use carrier about 2 GHz but ultrawide band use impulse that use bandwidth about 1 to 40 GHz or more .

uwb and bluetooth difference

Hi, Bluetooth is actually meant for small ad-hoc wireless networking application, connecting up 1 master to 7 slave. It works in the ISM band, i.e no license to operate it, but the radio product still need to go for regulatory / Bluetooth testing.

More common application is wireless headset for mobile phones, and some serial cable replacement type of application.
