What is the main difference between thse two.
The well known PLL architecture(PFD,CP,Loop filter,VCO) is Analog PLL or Digital PLL.
How does this differentiate in applications..where exactly the Digital PLL and Analog PLL are used.

thanks

Re: analog/digital PLL

Analog PLL has a Multiplier type PD while Digital one has PFD, JK or XOR circuit.
