hi,

is there difference between 2N3563 and PN3563?

thanks

I found an old datasheet for the PN3563 but it says the transistor was obsolete and not made anymore 3 years ago.
I could not find a datasheet for the old 2N3563.

The 2 and the P. ;-)
Likely it's the package.

It is

The 2N used the TO-106 can with slightly tighter tolerances but limited to 200mW and same wide temp as the plastic PN part in a TO-92 typ thruhole std. which is spec'd to handle 350mW power with more relaxed tolerances.

Both are still avail. in some disti's
