Diesel ac generator wiring diagram

Hello guys
i have a diesel ac generator which all of its cables r disconnected
the main problem is i dont know wht r the six cables going out of the windings i have 2 thin cables & for think ones & i've tried to connect 12v DC to the thin ones when the motor is running & i've got 40 v AC on 2 of the thick cables
any idea to help ?

pls post some snapshots.. so that we can understand the wires. also the model number or part number of the generator

no model number its just a diesel motor with big ref generator with 4 think wires & 2 thin ones coming out of it
