allegro create device file

Device file is generated when you are packaging or netlisting schematic. Contains "intelligent" data of components.

One solution might work. OrCAD and Capture CIS are very much alike, thus it is not nesesary (sorry missplelling) to use device files. Devicefiles are good for 3. part netlists (read non-Cadences).

Dip8 foot print and and the padstacks of it are may not be assigned properly or check the path in allegro whether u have assigned libraries correctly or not.

once again save the padstacks of Dip8 in ur located path folder.

hope this will help u
