in the Perrott PLL simulation file, there is detector( that is PFD + Charge pump) noise, which affect PLL phase noise performance. Is there any one know how to simulate it in Spectre? thanks

From the behavior simulation, it seems the low freuqency phase noise is determined by PFD and charge pump noise, so the question is how to simulate it by spectre. Anyone knows?

the same question, if noiseless get the answer, please help me

You can observe PN around the Reference Signal Frequency by applying two equal signal-equal amplitide, equal frequency and phase that is ideal case-to the PFD+CP.
PSS+PNOISE can serve you to find PN around Reference Signal.

hi BigBoss,

thank you very much, and could you please tell me more about how to get the noise of (PFD+ charge pump) with hspicerf? or give me some paper .
