hi
I want to design an RF signal generator. pls help me. write any idea for me.

in modern RF singal generators , the VCO is used within a PLL to make sure there will no drift and minimize the phase noise

khouly

The easy way: Synthesize with a wideband VCO at higher freqs (several GHz) and downconvert to baseband. The first drawback is higher phase noise, this can be solved by using several smallband VCO's and switch between them. The other drawback is that harmonic content is pretty high. This can be solved by using filter banks.
