Can anyone give me a few useful tips about hw to go about designing inductors in ASITIC. Right now I just use optsq to get a square inductor and try playing with the parameters to get a good Q for the inductor I need. Also many times it cannot come up with a solution.
So is there any starting point, or rough equation which can tell me how many turns should I pur, what should be the width, spacing and area estimated so that I can begin with the design.
Also if anyone can give me tips on how to improve the quality factor of the inductor, it will be helpful

I had the same problem when I tried to use ASITIC. There are too many models and types of inductor layout that you can't just look at some eqn to come up with the numbers your should try. ASITIC is more try and error type of software. That's how I use it anyway!

So is there any software which is not trial and error and in which we can actually get closer to our goal step by step?

I belive FastModel software may solve ur problem as it provides very good results.
just try it at **broken link removed**
