I want to design Planar shape antenna for wimax application (frequency will vary from 3-5 ghz ) and i am using coaxial probe feed technique using hfss simulator.i want give the slots such as upper case letters and i want that each letter must work for one specific frequency. Is it possible to design such type of antennas on hfss? if yes then is it also possible that every letter operate for one specific frequency?

Hello,

To get some ideas how others did it, try to get the book: "Compact & Broadband Microstrip Antennas", Kin-lu Wong.

When you do the modelling right (take care of finer mesh for areas with large dI/ds), you can use HFSS or similar SW-package.

The frequency of operation of an antenna depends upon the electrical length of the structure. With multi slots it is more probable to generate a multi-band antennas with different polarizations. I suggest to look at the antennas like PIFA to make topic more clear.

Regards
