Hi Friends
I want some help regarding high voltage/wattage SMPS
SMPS rating are 48V/200W and 48V/1000W>please send me any reference designs and some details for study. Also tell me some study links
Hi,
For the 200W use a half bridge forward converter and for the 1000W one use a full bridge forward converter. A flyback design is just possible for the 200W but this is on the limit so I would not recommend it for a first try.
Then follow this link or the link marked magnetics builder on the Magnetics Inc homepage for reference circuit designs and design software. **broken link removed**
I hope this helps.
There is quite a lot to switch mode PSU designing, so expect a few failures early on and be very very careful as part of a SWMP is mains live, use an isolation transformer for the initial test stage if you do not want to risk death.
I would also recommend that you buy a book such as Practical Switchmode Power Supply Design by Marty Brown.
Hi Bob
Thank u very much
I will definitely take care in all aspects
Could u please send me any link for Practical Switchmode Power Supply Design by Marty Brownas i am unable to get hard copy in local market.
I forgot to mention it previously but the UC3526 or a similar TI device is a good PWM contrroller for your needs. See the TI website or search the Internet for info.
DrBob13 had mentioned about powerEsim, it new site is: https://www.powerEsim.com/
You can go there to find both Two-Switch Forward Converter and half bridge forward converter and do simulation there.
