pci interface chip

I want design PCI interface chip (use FPGA) to interface TMS320c6211

I need problem about :
- Document concern PCI and program device driver for windows.
- Steps to design.
- A example design PCI interface chip fully done by verilog HDL
- Some Experience are the most important for design and program
- please give me a profit advise when start, realizing and degub

hello

for driver you can use JUNG*O win*driver and other tools from it.
for PCI core xilini*x and alte*ra have solutions for their chips.

check their site for more info.
bye

Altera has free PCI design for both master and slave. But they are written in AHDL. To get the file, go to the Altera FTP site, under PUB/MISC directory, download the pci302 file.

You can find a PCI 2.1 compliant bridge @ www.opencore.org.

it has been tested on Xilinx spartan and is coded in Verilog. It is fully compliant with Wishbone SOC bus.

Not too easy to use

hi
I very glad when i receive your goodness
Con you tell me address of @ltera has free PCI design for both master and slave ?
Goodbye see you soon

there aren't free PCI IPcore from Altera and Xilinx... only evals...

Hi all,

Designing a fully compliant PCI is not easy and should take a lot of time...

If you want to interface your DSP with PCI into an ALTERA FPGA, i suggest you to take a look at PLDA PCI core (it is better than Altera PCI core).
