Design on PIC and Micro SD card.

I am thinking of a design that work like this.

1. to program a micro controller that will communicate with micro SD card to read data in these formats .doc, .pdf , .jpg , .txt

2. i want to connect the microcontroller with a LCD TV 22"" via USB port.

3. all i think of is to develop OS to read data and display on TV and controls to move up or down
help me with the code an d the right type of microcontroller to build this Application and System.

look for a microcontroller with a USB interface, e.g.

does the TV act as a USB host or slave? this could effect the choice of microcontroller

the CD card reader would probably be SPI or I2C which most modern microcontrollers have
