Design Compiler Subdesign Area Question

Hello,

I am trying to determine the area of each indivual level within the hierarchy.
I use report_area -hierarchy and get the first level of hierarchy area as follows.

Name __ Area
toplevel = 123
mux's = 010
spare = 020

How do I get the area of the instances within the toplevel?

use "report_reference -hierarchy"

Instance level area will be present in report_area -hierarchy itself.

Hi,

report_cell [get_cells *]
will give the area for all the top level instances in the design.
