Demodulating 1.44 MHz IF

I want to design a FM demodulator for 1.44 MHz IF stage using commercialy available ICs. My plan of action is:

1. Use SA602 as mixer to down convert IF to 455 KHz
2. Use NJM2294 455 KHz FM Demodulator IC

Request folllwoing:

(a) Comments on the above approach
(b) Help/suggestion on implementation of LO at 1.895 MHz

Demodulating 1.44 MHz IF

Dual IF at 1.44/0.455 doesn't sound particularly meaningful. I guess, the said demodulator IC's (at least many others) can
work at 1.44 MHz as well, unless you depend on using a specific 0.455 MHz filter.

Re: Demodulating 1.44 MHz IF

hii...

can you suggest some readily available demodulator for 1.44 MHz IF....

Re: Demodulating 1.44 MHz IF

I think you can try to use NJM2294 demodulating directly 1.44MHz FM signal.
Even in the datasheet is specified only for 455kHz probably it will work at 1.44MHz, but you need a 1.44MHz resonator.
