P-N junction

The p-n junction is the border line between the p-type and n type semiconductor

Re: P-N junction

A Bipolar Transistor essentially consists of a pair of PN Junction Diodes that are joined back-to-back. This forms a sort of a sandwich where one kind of semiconductor is placed in between two others. There are therefore two kinds of Bipolar sandwich, the NPN and PNP varieties. The three layers of the sandwich are conventionally called the Collector, Base, and Emitter. .

Re: P-N junction

PN junction is the metallurgical boundary surface between p-type and n-type bulks. But, in some electrical point of view, it can be seen the depletion layers formed as a result of equilibrium. But, as the large current flows, these depletion layers will move to make the electrical characteristics changed.

P-N junction

There are two p-n junction in a transistor..definition is remain same whether it is adiode or transistor..

Re: P-N junction

in a transistor there are two diodes rather two pn junctions frabricated in the
two fashion npn or pnp
the function of the pn junction is the same as that of a normal pn junction diode.......!!!
well i think you must read about the transistor construction and operation...!!!

P-N junction

p-n junction is the joining point of ptype and n type
