I wanna simulate an loop antenna array including 4 antennas using Momentum, ADS 2008. Each of loop antenna (ant) has 2 inputs and I put 2 ports (Eg. P1,P2) into these inputs. So, 8 ports need to be put for this array antenna.
Should I define as the following for 8 ports:
Ant1
P1: internal P2: Ground reference, with Associate to port number: 1
Ant2
P3: internal P4: Ground reference, with Associate to port number: 3
Ant3
P5: internal P6: Ground reference, with Associate to port number: 5
Ant4
P7: internal P8: Ground reference, with Associate to port number: 7
Is it right? especially the values of "Associate to port number"
I really wanna study in RF and array antenna so I need your help, pls. My email is fpga28@gmail.com
thank you so much. Now, I need to simulate 50x50 antenna array, but the Momemtum ADS couldn't run because of lacking memory.
How can I solve this problem, please?
I intend to simulate only 4x4 antenna array, and then try to find a algorithm to develop up to 50x50 antenna array. Is it right ?
If you have any information about that algorithm or papers, please let me know.
Thanks a lot
The algorithms are approximations only and some times gives expected results.
Algorithms are available with single element.
These calculations suffers from the coupling effects of adjacent surrounded antennas and end effects like radome at edges is different from the center etc.
