decoding ( discovering) a CPLD chip program

hi,
how can I discover (decode) the the implemented structure (code) on "ATF16V8BQL" chip on my board? I want to replace or reproduce it.

Is there any way to do that?

This part can be code-protected and I would bet that it is. So you cannot read out the contents.
If it wasn't code protected, then you could figure out from the .jed file which "fuses" are open and you could figure out the functions implemented.

Else, just apply all combinations of HI's and LO's to the inputs and record the outputs. From that you can figure out how to duplicate it, by writing the code yourself to reproduce those functions. It is a tedious job, though.
