dds generator project

Hello Syzzler,
Have you any info on which type of keyboard and display YAG uses ?
The link has no info on these.
Thanks.

dds-generator

Hi G579,

YAG uses any standard 2x16 Hitachi based LCD.
The keyboard can be any 4x4 (n.o.) matrix kb.
Soon (days) will be released a software update that will permit use of optical (or mec.) encoder in place of the dc motor.
This way frequency variation will be knob speed dependent.

Feel free to ask for any other info.

Syzzler.

yag ddsgenerator

Hi all,

if this argument can be interesting for anyone there is a futher note on sweep capability. This generator it's designed to be used at home (even if specs are good) and a typical display will be the oscilloscope. So leave horizontal (x) axis on free running around sweep speed and connect the trig out to oscilloscope. Adjusting horizontal freq. you'll be able to exactly reach the right side of the grid. Divisions will act like markers.
Simple (software) way but effective....

P.S.
This way (with few items more) you can add scanner opt. to your old receiver... (?!?!?!)

ebook dds-signalgeneratoren

Hi, all. Like to share a good article by Robert Lacoste on DDS generator. This project is a complete 120MHz DDS signal generator using Analog Device AD9852, with kepad entry and LCD display. It is an embedded design, with source code.

It comes in two instalment parts. Part 1 appears in Circuit Cellar April 2001 issue (No 129). Part 2 appears in CC May 2001 issue (No 130)

Only Part 2 is available for free download in circuit cellar website. Part 1 is availabe in the ebook section of elektroda
