I'm using dc_compiler revision 2010.12-SP2. Does the compile_ultra command automatically uniquify designs? I was told that it does. Up until now I have always issued the uniquify command before the compile_ultra command. I've been told it's not necessary anymore since compile_ultra will uniquify. Is this true? any input on this is appreciated.

Thanks

Yes. You dont need to use any explicit uniquify commands as compile_ultra automatically uniquifies the design during synthesis.

Hi Toni,

Yes.DC versions from 2008 does uniquify automatically..no need of explicit commands
