Hi Guys,

I am trying to control two dc motors interfaced to the P3 of the 8051 through L293DNE.

The problem is that the motors are not running continuously on their top speed.
Their motion keeps breaking and they never run continuousy.

The connections are as such

L293DnE:

1,9,16 to 5V DC right pin of Voltage regulator
8 to 12V DC Left pin of Voltage regulator

2-> 12 of 8051
7-> 13 of 8051
10->14 of 8051
15->15 of 8051

3,4,12,13 to Middle pin of voltage regulator

The reset circuit and the oscillator circuit are working well.
I have also provided high to pin 31 of the 8051.
I hope this helps.
Help needed urgently.

In which channel you have connected your motor?

Pin No.5 has to be to connected to ground as per datasheet. Where have you connected it?

3rd pin is the output pin which is suppose to be connected to motor. But why you have connected it to ground?

check answer for this and correct the board then your board will work....

Hi,

A schematic could help to clear things up.
