I am an undergraduate student. Very newbie in communication system. So, may be my stupid questions bore you a bit. I wish your help to learn more.

Can anybody modify data packet sending or receiving without modification in server?

Where will I get data packet sending and receiving specification in GSM (GPRS or EDGE)?

Which book should I follow to learn GPRS and EDGE specification and technical view from the gound lavel?

Is there any book that shows the way from software view? I mean all the software processes with example both for mobile and server in GPRS or EDGE technology?
 

REad the book GPRS and 3G applications from Andersson.
