i want to send integers from matlab to controller and from controller to matlab. but while sending to controller it is displaying different characters. and while sending to matlab i am getting timeout error. i checked on hyperterminal.. but there also a same problem occurred. so what can be wrong??

it would be useful if you state what type of interface you are using to transmit between controller and matlab, if it's a standard serial interface, then make sure that the baud rate used by the controller is the same as that you specified in matlab
