Hi,

Anyone here who has an experience using a current transformer (CT), basically with a 5A maximum current intput.

Does anyone have an idea on what circuit to use in order to have a 0-5VDC linear output from 0-5A AC current input on the the CT? Can someone give me schematic/s regarding this issue.

Regards,
Howie

A current transformer only convert from an input current to another current output.

Further, it give no sense that you provide an input voltage and then an output current.

What are you gonna use that for?

This will depend on the turn ratio. u only need a "resistor" in the secondary of the CT.

you need to stop asking suggestions and start studying first.... WIKIPEDIA already provides the meaning of Current Transformer, from there you can already analyze the use of it...
