I am planning to use this **broken link removed** in the control system I am designing. On page 12, I see how to use the 5 pins for electrical connection. What is not clear to me is how the thicker pins on the side are used? What is their purpose? Is it just for the magnetic induction (as current passes through the hole)? Do I need to connect those thinker pins to something?

Any example application circuit would be really helpful.

Hi,

The six connections are three possible primary turns.

Either you place a wire through the hole to measure the curent through the wire,

Or you want to measure the current on the PCB by using those primary jumpers.
You can adjust measurement range when you use 1, 2 or all three primary jumpers in series.

Example: you have a signal with max 2.5A on your PCB you want to measure with your -10 current transducer.
Then you can use all three jumpers in series.
A current of 2.5A is then feed three times through the sensing area (primary windings) causing the same output signal than a single 7.5A.
